  • The incoming student

    • shows a significant level of motivation
    • speaks and understands English at least at an intermediate level
    • will afterwards hold a responsible position in the field of safeguarding
    • is recommended by an ecclesiastical or civil authority
    • holds at least a bachelor (1st cycle university) degree with a qualification that gives access to 2nd cycle studies
    • has sufficient knowledge of how to work with a computer
    • is psychologically stable, relates well to people, and can work reliably on his/her own
    • is able to engage in rigorous academic coursework, in research, in writing the thesis, and in preparing for professional practice.

    How we make sure the minimum is met

    • Preselection on basis of application documents (1,3,4,5)
    • Interview
      => English + motivation (1+2)

    We reserve the right to discontinue students if it becomes evident that the requirements are not met.

  • 1st Semester

    Exploring the field of safeguarding

    2nd Semester

    Deepening the theoretical knowledge and understanding of safeguarding

    3rd Semester

    Internship, combined with supervision and guided reflections

    4th Semester

    Writing the Licentiate (Master’s) thesis
